Bart Binning, Ed.D.,
MBA, GRI, TRC, is currently
employed by Prudential Alliance Realty, Inc. as a Broker Associate,
specializing in commercial properties: Tenant Representation,
Owner/User Property Acquisition, Development, and International
Real Estate Transactions. Dr. Binning is also certified by
the Oklahoma State Real Estate Commission to teach Continuing
Education Courses, Bart has developed several courses on
integrating technology into the Realtors®
workplace. He is also certified to teach the Elective Courses for Commercial
Realtors® and Property Managers that are a component of NAR's Green Designation.
With the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of Realtors®,
Dr. Binning is the Chairman of the Realtors Commercial Alliance in
2009 and a Vice President of the Association in 2008, serving on
its Executive Committee. He is also chair of the Ad Hoc
Committee established to implement a Commercial Property
Information Exchange (similar to an MLS for commercial properties)
in the central Oklahoma area.
Bart is also a member of
the Committee on Education of the Oklahoma Real Estate Association
and the Chairman's Advisory Group for Advertising and Marketing of
MLSGatway, the MLS subsidiary of Oklahoma City Metropolitan
Association of Realtors. Designations include GRI (Graduate
Realtors Institute) and TRC (Transnational Referral Certified).
Candidacy in CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member)
and CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist). Bart
is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Council (CREC),
and was a charter member of the Oklahoma chapter of FIABCI (The
International Real Estate Federation).
With the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission, Bart is working
towards the establishment of an Oklahoma Real Estate Research
Center, patterned after the Texas Real Estate Research Center at
Texas A&M University (www.recenter.tamu.edu).
Enabling legislation would be required and the concept has been
endorsed by the Executive Committee of the Realtors Commercial
Alliance of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of REALTORS®.
Other concerned entities include the Oklahoma Association of
Realtors and the University of Central Oklahoma's College of
Business Administration.
Prior to joining Prudential Alliance Realty, Bart worked in a
variety of management positions at companies including Aeternitas,
Inc. (software development and interactive media); University of
Central Oklahoma (special projects at the Physical Plant), and The
Trane Company (sales and service of commercial air conditioning
equipment as well as automated temperature controls, fire and
security systems). While at the University of Central Oklahoma,
Dr. Binning was responsible for the campus energy management
systems, supervised modifications to the campus power distribution
system, developed a master plan for the campus that conceptually
described future development of the campus, and became a professor in the College of Business Administration,
focusing on the implementation of new technologies in
organizations as well as production management, and
inventory control.
Dr. Binning is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, earning his Bachelors
degree in Economics / Business Administration. Bart also has an
MBA from University of Oklahoma, as well as a Doctorate in Adult
Education from Oklahoma State University.
While in Academia, Dr. Binning published several papers dealing
with the integration of new technologies into organizations. Bart
served as Technology Editor for "On the Horizon," a
monthly journal that focused on signals of change on the horizon
that can affect educational organizations, published through the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was also a
Certified Trainer, helping instructors integrate their curriculum
to a distance education format. Bart was also a member
of the Faculty Advisory Council to the Oklahoma State Regents for
Higher Education, where he also served as the Council's
Chairman.
In his spare time Bart enjoys Snow Skiing.
